Quo Vadis Night ! Earlier this year Behind the Scenes held their very first Fundraiser. We organized an evening in the Quo Vadis pub where we performed and sang for the parents and Fr. Paul to let them see what we had been doing. The evening went extremely well with a Star Wars spoof sketch and the unforgettable QVS (Quo Vadis Shopping Channel) sketch.
Q.V.S (Quo Vadis Shopping Channel) During the night we performed a couple of sketches. One of which was the Quo Vadis Shopping Channel. Some of our members impersonated the QVC Shopping Channel hosts and tried to sell a few found objects. For example a Jam jar managed to pass a FLY CATCHER ! (Thank you Gerard) A chopping board managed to become a SELF DEFENSE WEAPON! (Thank you Ross) And many more imaginary objects were thought up of on the night. CHRISTMAS CONCERT ! On the 21st of December 2002 Behind the Scenes drama club hosted a Christmas Carol Concert in the church hall. The cost for entry was £1 and the proceeds went towards the church hall. On the night we performed many carols, Christmas songs, and a hilarious nativity play.
(Mary & Big Joe do Bethlehem) Stephen Sharp (Leader) wrote the Script of Mary and Big Joe do Bethlehem. The cast contained, Mary, Big Joe, Innkeepers, Angel Gabriel four Shepherds, three wise men + Jeff. (Jeff was the fourth wise man who really didn't have a clue why he was there or where he was, despite being the skilled, trusted navigator.) And lets not forget our narator. Anyway the nativity play was a great laugh and was extremely fun to take part in and watch I'm sure the people who attended the concert would strongly agree.
